Where Practice Makes Perfect
At the Odakan we are dedicated to providing exceptional standards of Shotokan Karate-Do Instruction under Sensei Gary Daly 6th dan blackbelt and his dedicated team of assistant instructors. Sensei Daly has been studying the art of Shotokan Karate-Do for over 45 years and all of his Gradings up to and including his 6th Dan Blackbelt have taken place under the World's highest ranked Japanese Karate Instructors . Sensei has been both Junior and Senior National Champion and has Captained the Irish International Team. One of his many memorable moments was when he coached the Irish Karate Team and helped the squad secure Gold, Silver and Bronze at the European and World Karate Championships. At the Odakan you will train alongside Past and Present Champions and have an opportunity twice a year to grade under the highest World ranking Japanese instructors of the Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation. As a member of S.K.I.F Ireland you will have the opportunity to try out for and compete at World, European and National levels.
Our training times are -
Tuesday night 7-8 for new members and 8-9 for advanced Blackbelts.
Thursday night 7-8 for advanced fighters.
Fees are - €50 Annual Membership.
€10 Per Class.

CLASSES
ODAKAN FUNDEMENTALS
The Fundamentals of our classes at the Odakan are designed to help the individual to seek the perfection of their own character as stated in the first principle of the Dojo-Kun  and by doing so to help build their innner strength and confidence. This learning process happens at your own pace in a friendly and fun atmosphere.
SHOTOKAN KARATE-DO
At the Odakan you will learn the art of Karate-Do under the watchful eye of Sensei Gary Daly 6th dan. This class will help you grasp the art of Shotokan Karate-Do from a deep and disciplined perspective.
INTRODUCTION TO SELF DEFENSE
Sensei Gary has developed a walk safe program and has instructed this system of Self Defence on behalf of the Drugs Task Force in Cork City .By studying the art of Shotokan Karate-Do you will build a physical and mental confidence that will be the basis for which you will learn how to defend yourself .
